Coached Group Training · Royal Leamington Spa

Group Exercise, Without The Back Row.

Coached group training in a private Leamington Spa studio. No mirrors wall to wall, no instructor shouting over music, no hiding at the back. Seven people, one coach, and a programme with your name on it.

Not A Class

The energy of a group. The attention of a coach.

Most people searching for group exercise want two things that rarely come together: other people to train with, and someone actually watching how they move. Classes deliver the first and quietly skip the second. Thirty people, one instructor, and nobody notices your knees caving on a squat.

Our group sessions work differently. The group is capped at seven, the coach knows every name in the room, and each person follows their own written programme. You get the accountability and atmosphere of training together, without disappearing into a crowd.

Not another class

Four ways this is not a fitness class.

If you have done the circuit of classes around Leamington Spa and drifted off each one after a month or two, this is probably why.

01

A programme, not a playlist

A class is the same workout for everyone, invented that morning. Here, your training is written in progressive blocks: your lifts, your history, your goals. Week eight builds on week one, which is why the results compound instead of plateauing.

02

Coached, not instructed

An instructor demonstrates from the front and hopes you copy it well. A coach walks the floor, watches your bar path, fixes your positions and knows when to push you and when to pull you back. Every set, not just the warm-up.

03

Seven people, not thirty

The cap is the whole model. Small enough that the coach sees every rep and the room notices when you are missing. Big enough that there is energy, a bit of friendly competition, and people to run the hard bits with.

04

Progress you can point to

Classes measure effort in sweat. We test. Strength numbers, conditioning benchmarks, movement quality, all tracked over time, so six months in you are not wondering whether it is working. You can see exactly what has changed.

Inside a session

Sixty minutes, minute by minute.

No guesswork from the moment you walk in. Every session runs to a shape, so you always know what is coming, and you are always back at the door on the hour.

0min The brief Your programme is on the board and the coach walks the room through it
5min A warm-up that matters Positions and prep for what you are about to lift, not ten idle minutes on a bike
15min The strength block Your main lifts, coached set by set, at your numbers
40min Conditioning, then done A finisher with the group, a quick debrief, back at the door on time
Who runs the room

Three coaches. All full-time, all in person.

The Room In Numbers

A different way to train together.

Not a class timetable and not a big-box floor. A coached room, deliberately small, that most members treat as a permanent part of their week.

The best decision I have made was joining this gym. What I thought might be something I join for a few months has ended up with me still being here 3 years later. Stronger, faster and doing things I never thought I would ever put myself forward for. All down to the expertise, support, motivation and welcoming gym environment Martin & Olivia have created.

I was 56 and well over 18 stone. A short conversation with Olivia convinced me to go and have a free try out. From the moment I walked in I was made to feel like one of the family. Everything immediately felt different.

The room

Who you’ll be training beside.

The groups are deliberately mixed. Everyone follows their own programme, so nobody is holding anyone back, and nobody gets left behind.

01

Complete beginners

People who had never touched a barbell before their intro session. The first weeks are scaled to where they are, and the coach is beside them for every new movement.

02

Returners

Fit once, then life happened. A house move, kids, a decade of work. The programme meets them where they are today, not where they were at 25.

03

Busy professionals

The 6am and lunchtime regulars. In, coached, out, back at the desk. For most of them this is the only part of the week that nobody is allowed to book over.

04

HYROX athletes

The competitive end of the room, training for race dates on the same floor. Proof of where the programming can take you, and usually the loudest encouragement in the building.

The rhythm

Same slots, same people, week after week.

There is no booking app to race at midnight and no class that fills before you get to it. You hold regular weekly slots that fit your diary, and your cohort trains alongside you in them.

Early, before the day starts The 6am and 7am sessions, done and showered before the first meeting.

Lunchtime A coached 45 minutes that fits inside a working lunch, back at your desk on the hour.

After work Evening sessions through to 8pm, Monday to Friday.

Saturday morning The weekend session, followed by coffee more often than not.

Tell us the shape of your week on the discovery call and we will find slots that survive it.

Common questions

Asked before the first session.

Is this a fitness class?

No, and that is the point. A class gives everyone the same workout, led from the front, the same again next week. Our group sessions are coached training: you follow your own programme inside a group of no more than seven, with a coach correcting and progressing you every session.

What group training do you run in Leamington Spa?

Coached strength and conditioning in small groups, HYROX-specific training blocks, and programmes built for post-40 strength, post-injury returns and busy professionals. Every session runs from our private studio on Rigby Close with free parking on the door.

Do I book session by session?

No. There is no drop-in timetable to fight over. You train on regular weekly slots that suit your diary, your programme is already written when you arrive, and your cohort expects you. That rhythm is a large part of why people stay consistent here.

Am I fit enough for group training?

Yes. Every exercise is scaled to where you are today, because the programme is yours rather than the room’s. Most members joined as complete beginners or after years away, and the group cap of seven means the coach genuinely sees every rep you do.

When do sessions run?

Monday to Friday from 6am to 8pm, and Saturday mornings. The busiest slots are 6am, 7am, lunchtime and straight after work, which is why most members can hold the same slots week after week.

What should I bring to a session?

Trainers you can move in, kit you can lift in, and water. Everything else, from barbells to sleds to programming, is already on the floor waiting for you.

What happens on the discovery call?

A short, relaxed conversation, usually with Olivia. Where you are now, what has and hasn’t worked before, and what you actually want back. If coached group training is the right fit, you book a free intro session. If it isn’t, we say so.
